1.   To begin installation, remove the 6th and 7th rows of shingles (Figure 1). The remaining shingles need not be stripped away.

2.   Working from left to right, place the first Ice Panel on the roof squarely and slide it up tightly against the front edge of the roof. Nail Ice Panel to the roof approximately 1" from top. Squeeze drip edge firmly around roof overhang with wide mouth pliers.

3.   Ice Panel fasteners are supplied flat. Each fastener must be formed by hand. Attach and nail fasteners at 2", 16", and 22" intervals from the drip edge.

4.   The left edge of the roof can now be fitted with the rake cap. Install cap over upright joint. Caulking compound may be used in the interlocking joints for a better seal. Squeeze seams with wide mouth pliers and nail to the roof rake.

5.   Place next Ice Panel in position, overlapping previous panel's upright joint and slide up, interlocking drip edge at left. Attach panel fasteners and squeeze joints.

6.   When last panel is in place at extreme right, attach rake cap in same manner as cap at left edge.

7.   Flatten the upright interlocking joints on each Ice Panel with a hammer 6" down from the top, working from right to left. This will ensure a tight fit for the covering shingles.

8.   Replace the shingle. The 1st row with the tabs up. The 2nd row directly over the 1st, with the tabs down. Remaining shingles should be applied in normal fashion.
